1. About CoachCoyote

CoachCoyote ("we," "us," or "our") is a platform that enables coaches to manage lessons, enrollments, and communications with their students. CoachCoyote provides the technology platform — the coach is responsible for the content, scheduling, and conduct of their classes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account on CoachCoyote. Students under 18 may participate only when a parent or legal guardian creates an account and signs any required waivers on their behalf.

3. Payments and Service Fee

Lesson payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your coach is the merchant of record and receives your payment; CoachCoyote does not store your card details. When you pay by card, a service fee is added to your total and shown to you at checkout before you pay. This service fee is collected by CoachCoyote and is non-refundable, including if the class is later cancelled or credited. It applies only to amounts paid by card; amounts covered by credits (such as those from a cancelled class) or coupons carry no service fee.

4. Rescheduling, Cancellations & Credits

Each coach sets their own reschedule policy. Within the allowed window, you may reschedule an enrollment yourself to another available class or time of equal or lower price; when you move to a lower-priced class, the difference is not refunded or credited. Enrollments cannot be cancelled directly. If you cannot attend and cannot reschedule, you may submit a cancellation request to the coach, who decides in their sole discretion whether to cancel your enrollment and whether to issue a credit, and in what amount. If a coach cancels a class, you will receive a credit automatically. Credits have no cash value, are non-refundable, are not transferable between coaches, and are scoped to the coach you enrolled with. Credits expire based on that coach's credit expiry setting. If a coach's account is closed or terminated, any unused credits with that coach will expire and cannot be redeemed. CoachCoyote does not issue refunds directly.

Some coaches offer multi-class discounts: when you enroll in more than one class in a single purchase, a percentage discount is applied to the price of each class in that purchase, based on how many classes it includes. Each class in a multi-class purchase remains a separate enrollment with its own reschedule and cancellation-request path under this section, and rescheduling or cancelling one class does not change the price of the others. If a coach cancels a class you booked at a discount, your automatic credit is based on the class's full listed price. If the coach approves a cancellation request you submit, any credit is at the coach's discretion and is typically based on the amount you actually paid for that class after discounts. In the rare case that a class in your purchase fills up before your payment finishes processing, that class is not booked and the amount you paid toward it by card is automatically returned to you as credit; the service fee is not refunded (see Section 3).

5. Credit Packs (Prepaid Credit)

Some coaches offer Credit Packs — prepaid credit you buy in advance, usually at a discount, to spend on that coach's lessons. When you buy a Credit Pack you are purchasing prepaid credit toward services from that specific coach. This credit is redeemable only for that coach's lessons, is non-refundable, is not redeemable or convertible to cash, is not transferable between coaches, and is scoped to the coach you purchased it from. Purchased credit expires based on that coach's credit expiry setting, the same as any other credit. If a coach's account is closed or terminated, any unused credit with that coach will expire and cannot be redeemed. You pay the coach directly through Stripe; CoachCoyote does not collect or hold your payment.

6. Coach Responsibility

Coaches on CoachCoyote are independent operators, not employees of CoachCoyote. CoachCoyote does not supervise, direct, or control any coaching activity. CoachCoyote does not conduct background checks on coaches and does not verify coaching certifications, licenses, or qualifications. You are solely responsible for evaluating the qualifications and suitability of any coach you book through the platform. Any disputes regarding a class should be resolved directly with the coach.

7. Custom Domains

If your coach has a custom domain provided through CoachCoyote, that domain is purchased and owned by CoachCoyote. If the coach's account is closed or the domain is no longer paid for, the domain will not be renewed and will expire naturally. This arrangement is disclosed to coaches at signup.

8. Communications

By enrolling in a class, you may receive transactional emails related to your enrollment (confirmations, cancellations, reminders). These do not require opt-in. Marketing emails from your coach — such as class announcements or special offers — are only sent if you have explicitly opted in. You may opt out at any time.

9. Account Termination

CoachCoyote reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms or is used in a manner that is harmful to other users or the platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

CoachCoyote is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoachCoyote shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Yavapai County, Arizona.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you through the platform. Continued use of CoachCoyote after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
